When the Heavy Duty Collection launched, it carried a single idea: ordinary people carry extraordinary weight. The bin bag heart, matte black, printed flush into the cotton, became the symbol of that idea, the weight you carry, worn instead of hidden. Around it grew the Squad, a cast of characters, each one a colourway, each colourway an identity. The Soldier in army green. The Ghost in powder blue. The Concrete in heather grey. The Idol in dusty pink. The Carrier in khaki sand. Five figures, five ways of carrying.
This year, the Squad grew by three. And with the last of them, something bigger happened: the entire collection was rebuilt, piece by piece, on 260gsm heavyweight cotton. The remaster is now complete. The series is closed. Here's the story, and the newcomers who finished it.
The Novelty arrived at Christmas, cardinal red, the one who refuses to be background. She was meant to be seasonal. She stayed. Some characters do that, they turn up for a moment and make it clear they were always part of the cast. The Novelty is the Squad's reminder that carrying weight doesn't mean disappearing, that you can be burdened and still be impossible to ignore. She joins the roster permanently.
The Heart of Gold came next, gold, the rarest register in the collection. If the Squad is a study in how people carry things, the Heart of Gold is the one who transforms under the load, pressure into worth, weight into something that catches the light. Shot in the dark of a mine, found like the thing she's named for, she gave the collection its first glimpse of what the weight can become.
And then The Surgeon, white, the eighth and final member. She was introduced with a purpose before she ever had a drop: the one who fixes everyone, the one who would upgrade the Squad. And that's exactly what happened. The remaster began with her mission and ends with her arrival. Every piece in the collection has now passed through her hands, rebuilt on the heavyweight fabric she was brought in to deliver. She healed the collection first. Then she joined it, last. The series ends with her, by design. Eight members. No more. The Squad is whole.

We rebuilt the entire Heavy Duty Collection on 260gsm heavyweight cotton, produced with our partners at Tapstitch, because a piece built around the weight you carry has to be built to carry it. Dense, structured, boxy, the kind of cotton that holds its shape wash after wash, year after year. This is the opposite of the pennies-per-print paper tee, designed to be landfill by spring. Every Heavy Duty piece is a limited run of 100, then archived for good, never reprinted. You're not buying a print run. You're keeping a piece.
The remaster touched everything: every graphic re-set into the heavier weave, every colourway re-proofed, every piece re-photographed in its character's world. The collection you see today is the collection as it was always meant to exist, the same eight stories, finally printed on fabric that matches their weight.
