The story
She was photographed. Catalogued. Filed under a barcode.
Then someone took a brush, removed her eyes. Stamped a serial number on her temple. Ran her through a photocopier until the grain ate her skin.
She's still looking at you.
ERASED is a collage by Kazuhiro Miyagawa, an award-winning collage artist working in Ōsaka with found images, Xerox textures and X-Acto blades. He doesn't name his work. He calls them moments, feelings. This one started as a 1960s portrait and became a statement about identity, commodification, and what remains after everything else is stripped away.
You've been filed too. Numbered by algorithms. Sorted by data. Reduced to a profile. This is what it looks like when someone refuses to disappear.
