That’s what happened when I first stumbled across Ash Long’s profile. In a sea of polished, predictable content, his work felt like a glitch in the matrix. It was messy, it was precise, and it was deeply unsettling in the most beautiful way.
I’ve always been fascinated by Collage Art. There is something punk-rock about taking two completely unrelated images—a vintage 1950s suit and a deep-sea creature—and forcing them to coexist. It destroys the original context to create a new, often weirder, reality.
I knew immediately: This isn't just Instagram content. This is a collection.
The 5 Worlds
We selected five distinct artworks, each representing a different "world" or state of mind. We didn't just want to print a square image on a shirt; we wanted to create portals.
- Mr Le Freak: The suit implies business; the disco ball implies chaos. It’s the ultimate "work hard, party harder" metaphor.
- The Twin Peeks: Unsettling, symmetric, and bold. A nod to classic horror aesthetics.
- The Hypnotiser: A study in focus and control. The giant eye replacing the face isn't just surreal; it’s watching you back.
- The Atlantis Lovers: Deep-sea diving gear in an urban setting. It captures the feeling of being out of place, or perhaps, breathing underwater.
- The Sunset Kiss: It feels like a memory from a summer that never happened. Vintage romance meets modern distortion.
